Dear Friend,
I Share Because I Care
I was born in South America (Guyana) where I grew up until I got
married at age 14. At age 15 I had my first child and for about three
years endured an abusive husband until finally ending my first marriage
at age 18.
With two children, no job, no money and nowhere to go, I decided that
if we were going to have a better life, I had to have a strong dreams
and the desire to achieve them. I made a promise to myself - that I
would not let anyone or anything stand in the way of my goals and
dreams for a better life for me and my family.
After coming to Canada in 1983, I worked at two jobs as a general
labourer just so that I could make ends meet. But I had no time for my
kids and no money left over after paying all the bills.
In 1990 I remarried and soon had my third child. When I returned to
work, I had to work two rotating shifts at my job which gave me very
little time with my third child. I was still barely making ends meet
and had very little money.
After the company I was working for laid of many people
including
myself in 1996, I decided that I would go back to school for a career
as an esthetician. When I graduated, I opened my own beauty
shop.
I quickly learned that having my own business meant working seven days
a week which still left me with very little time for my family even
though I had a little more money. I had to make sure everyone else was
paid before I paid myself and with the overhead and expenses, it left
me with less freedom than I expected with my own business.
In early 2005 I had decided that I would open a holistic spa. It cost
over $80,000 before the doors even opened in the spa. In May of 2005
when it was time to open the spa, I learned that a dance school was
located next to me. Because the noise didn’t create a good
atmosphere for my clientel and after eleven months of negotiating with
the landlord to put me in a different place in his building away from
the noise – I was told that I would have to go to court to
press
the landlord to change the situation (and may loose), put up with it or
walk away from my lease taking a loss.
At this point, I had lost a lot of money – but still had a
lot of bills to pay.
In this kind of a setting, I was introduced to M.L.M. / Network
Marketing and decided to take a good look at the industry and some
opportunities. Today I am working in my home based business with a few
companies in an exciting industry. These companies are giving me the
money and freedom I was looking for and I didn’t have to have
experience, there are no overhead expenses and no employees to worry
about paying. The small investment to join is nothing compared to the
type of commitment I had experienced in the traditional business model
I had previously tried.
The biggest advantage I have gained with M.L.M. / Network Marketing is
the ability to leverage my time.
So when you look at the opportunities on my website
– I know
how
you feel about working long hours at jobs with low pay and also the
risk of
loss in conventional businesses. I have felt the same way you do right
